OUIL503 Responsive Collaborative Practice - Initial design development & experimentation

Sophie came up with this pattern and label mock-up based on the work WHISTLES presented for their S/S15 runway launch. I really liked the teardrop print, so I printed it out and tried to experiment with some sketches and nets for it

The main idea with most of these was to keep the design on the exterior of the boxes as minimal as possible - so that when you opened the boxes, you'd be greeted with some pleasant design with the outside matching the minimal design WHISTLES normally uses.

I was a little concerned about how fiddly these boxes might be in terms of mass-production - I also think they were too O.T.T for what WHISTLES might be wanting, so I went back to the drawing board on potential design work.
